Paper Making

Workshop Description:
Learn how to construct and build mixed media paper from scratch using traditional Filipinx resources. Students will assemble paper and create them into finished works of art. This includes step-by-step painting, drawing, or image transferring. Students will then refine their ideas and works for a culminating pop-up art show.

Instructor Bio:
John began teaching at Michael's stores in 2015. He taught and instructed classes under the fine art company Grumbacher. John caters to all ages, all people, and all levels, instructing both drawing and painting classes. He graduated with three degrees in visual arts including 2-D, 3-D visual arts, and art history. John has curated and showcased several shows in the SoCal region, spanning from both painting classes, and community cultural events. He has accompanied local Glendale companies to instruct painting classes and host art shows at night for local artists.
